The Dress Up Show is a fantasy come to life that activates the creative light. Audience members receive personalized makeover transformations from a team of talented and industrious performance hosts. Hundreds of potentially outrageous costume combinations are available in this walk-through live-art installation, featuring choreographic and scenic design by Michael Helland, in collaboration with multimedia performance artists from across the downtown dance milieu. The experience forms the basis for a new collective memory, and glamour shots are provided. Presented in May 2007 at the Chocolate Factory and in March 2008 in the SCOPE International Art Fair at Lincoln Center.
